I am super stoked to announce that I have been asked to display/sell my pinball artwork at the Silver Ball Museum. The Silverball Museum is a museum solely dedicated to pinball machines. I couldn't ask for a better location to have my work shown/sold at ... the collaboration is a dream come true! I am frantically trying to finish as many pieces as I can, so that I can get them up in the museum.
The owner of the museum is really cool -- how can a fellow pinball lover not be? -- not only am I the only artist that will be shown there, but he has given me carte blanche ... and said I should consider the museum my canvas... and I can do whatever I want to ever wall, staircase, and even the ceiling. I cant wait !!!
I will post more details as they unfold !!!

the rest of my grades have come in for the 24 credit nightmare semester.
7 As and 1A-
GPA for SEMESTER: 3.96
That feels awesome.
It is official, I graduated with honors -- I have CUM LOUDE -- I love that term.
AND I MADE THE DEANS LIST FOR THE FALL 08 / SPING 09 semesters!!
that means I was on the deans list back to back.
Sorry if this post feels like I am tooting my own horn, but I must admit it feels awesome.
I never took myself for the college type, and now that I did it, I think it rocks !!!!
I have been super crazy (not the wrestler) lately. I received an award from CW Post, on behalf of the English department, for outstanding service to the English Dept.
I also graduated on sunday (mother's day), therefor completing my undergraduate degree in English Literature--ahead of schedule I may add.
I really turned on the engines this semester, and took 24 credits (8 classes); normal full time status is only 12 credits (4 classes). I took the overloaded schedule because I wanted to walk in the graduation ceremony this semester. My school doesn't offer a walking ceremony for the "off semester" (Fall).
Going back to school and completing my degree ment a lot, so I decided I needed to walk -- regardless of what it would take.
I may have burned the candle dangerously close on both ends, but now that it is over, I am glad I did it.
I have already begun the process of getting in to the graduate program for English at my school, and have been given the "nod" --"off the record" that I will be accepted. Of course nothing is official until I get the letter, but all looks good. I will post the updates as I get them.
the chihuahuas we are fostering are the cutest things ever. if you ever wanted a dog(s) -- these are the ones. SNUGGLE BUGS - and well behaved.
If you know our dogs (frankenstein and zombie) -- it is like cloning a set (in white) of our dogs .... haha.
It is really weird. One looks and acts like our frankenstein and one looks and acts like our zombie. The only difference is: the new guys are all white. I cant take how adorable they are. Lili keeps saying she wants to eat their faces ... but I will stick with snuggling and kisses for now.
Seriously though, if you, or somebody you know is looking for a couple of awesome guys, to complete a family, these little guys are looking for a forever home. Drop me a line for details.
winter classes are over !!! 6 credits done in 10 days. that was insanity. NOW spring semester starts tomorrow at 9:30 am, good grief.
So, this wasntet sesame street, it was from the muppet show, but both are in the muppet family.
I thought I would post it for my ROCKY loving friends
So, just before christmas, I watched all 3 Karate Kid movies.
I have to admit, the whole series was really good !!!
I am not going to include the Next Karate kid, that came with my boxset, I didnt feel as though I should watch it, because it didnt have a number after the title, rather the "next" indicates that it has the same premis--just a different story all together.
Anyways ... yah -- I was pleasantly surprised how well K.K. 1-3 held up, but I forgot how whiney Ralph Machio was.
FYI -- I have heard they are going to do a remake of K.K. using Will Smith's kid as the K.K.
I hate that everybody is doing remakes nowadays ... I don't understand why they cant just create another chapter or version of the story, like the NEXT KARATE KID did. As a viewer, you realize that if you liked the first few, you may like the new/"NEXT" chapter or the story -- yet at the same time, you aren't recycling the same movie -- you can acutely be original and create something new, without tainting something we all already love.
Today, I moved onto to the Ghost Busters series (1+2). I think G.B. 2 gets a bums-wrap. Watching both movies back to back, the 2nd installment was really good ... I think they could've gone further than just the 2nd movie. Although I do know that they had the cartoons, I think they could have done another one or two theatrical releases. I am not however saying that they should do a remake of either film, but it would be great to see how G.B. could be done with modern special effects. Who knows, maybe they can get the original cast to get together to do a final installment -- or revive the G.B. series (kind of like how Sly did the new Rocky movie)
ok, so in the past 48 hours my major accomplishment was watching all 6 rocky movies.
feel free to call me a nerd -- but I think it is pretty impressive.... haha.
if a procedure is going to have a name like "discogram," it should at least be fun. Every time i mention the term, I i envision a mirror ball, rainbow lighted floor, and a dimly lit smoke filled operating room.
Too bad the hospital does not share my vision.
No worries though, I am fine -- i just wanted to share my vision for what I would like a discogram to be like.
BTW -- I have the greatest wife and mother (in-law) in the whole world.
